Aloha Everyone!
I am coming with some questions in regards to carb cycling and some specifics regarding it. I am 23 years old and am a TRT patient. "Whoa, TRT Patient at 23, you lying!!!" No. I was born with what was assumed to be an undescended testicle that turned out to never have developed. And my 1 testicle could not keep up the test production and various other productions, so I have been placed on TRT for a few years now. Its not BS overdosed either, 120mg per week which gets me to Peak 700, Trough 450 numbers. I also have hypothyroidism and take 4 grains of armour to get to the upper quartile of t3/t4/Free t3/Freet4. None of my numbers are out of range.
I am wanting to start a diet of carb cycling to get down from 225 to about 195. I have been reading many books and online sites about carb cycling but am wondering one specific because I have found people answer this about 50/50. When carb cycling, on the days you are lower carb, do you up your fat intake to compensate? Or leave the fat intake and protein intake constant. I have read mixed opinions on this myself. I have tried experimenting for a week each but i know that is too short to gain full spectrum knowledge. I felt sluggish as hell on the higher fat days but idk if that was mental placebo. Also protein requirements are so widely varied that im confused on that. Currently have base macros of 275P, 275C, 50F.
Age: 23
Height: 6'2
Weight: 225
Body fat %: ~18
Years of training: 6.(Sample Lifts: Incline Bench 225x23, Weighted Pullup 45lbx15 controlled reps, Hack Squat 495x15. Cant squat due to injury)
Complete cycle history (compounds, doses, lengths of time, when they were run): Only TRT as said above. 120mg Cyp/week HCG 500/week(2 shots)
PCT for each cycle: None
Goals: to get down to about 10% bodyfat
Supplements: Fish Oil, Multi-vitamin, ALA, Whey Protein, BCAA, Glutamine, Liv52
General idea of nutrition:Good overall knowledge of nutrition, allergic to lobster(Just found this out, cause my face turned the size and color of a lobster when i ate it haha)
Any other relevant info:2 Ruptured discs due to rugby injury. Surgery on them 3 years ago, fully rehabbed.
Hopefully you all can help me out with the carb cycling situation, and also any other tips and advice. I am not talking about running a cycle during this, I am talking about doing this on my HRT protocol.
Mahalo!
