So the folks at GNC let me know that Jay cutler would be there today so after I left the gym I stopped by and got to do the gratuitous pose and picture with the legendary man. Jay is not the average pose and go kind of guy, we conversed about training, real world supplementation and all kinds of stuff. We were chatting long enough that we wondered off from the meet and greet area inadvertently while shooting the shit till he realized it lol. Dude made my day in fact by complementing my physique and size. I admit that I have this complex where I see myself as a normal sized guy who looks like he visits the gym on occasion. No matter what the scale says, I am never satisfied and see a 180 pound dude in the mirror. He didn't tell me anything I didn't already know training wise, but it was good to have my thoughts and principles reaffirmed by the man. Dude is a professional in all aspects, good relations guy, great salesman... I bought some PWO and amino's to support the mans endeavors... unlike the tool in front of me who just wanted a pic (damned tall tatt'd xfitters lol). Whether we realize it or not weightlifters are members of a community and we should support one another. Of course realizing that some of these communities differ... some are 'Casual Friday' communities and some are 'Make you rack my plates if I out lift you' fortresses.
After this I am hell bent on adding some size. When I saw the man I was like "This dude is still huge AF" and after looking at the photo when I got home I grinned because these years of tossing the iron around have a reference point to show I'm not that 180 pounder my mind see's in the mirror.
