How bad are dairy products for fat loss?

How bad are dairy products for fat loss? You see, I want to cut, but it is quite hard for me to give up on the dairy products, such as mild and yogurts. How bad are they for cutting? Or they are the absolute evil like the sugars?

At the end of the day it is calories in Vs calories out....
If you stay under your TDEE by say 250-500 cals/day you will lose weight no matter what you eat.
Now with that said, I wouldn't go out and eat ice cream all day long just because it fits your TDEE

You can eat ANYTHING in moderation..

I would say nah. But most people will disagree. I love dairy. Whole Milk and cottage cheese (NOT low fat). But I'm not 5% BF either

All in moderation. A glass of milk, some cottage cheese, some yougurt from time to time is fine. We do spend our first months on earth living off of only milk ...correcto?
A very clean diet can make you fat...that tells you it is calories in and calories out.

I like Fairlife milk... It's ultra pasteurized has less fat, sugar, and more protein than regular milk. Also lactose free...

Is it 2.50 a gallon like my skim milk lol

I think half gallon is the largest size and it's almost 4 bucks. Since it's ultra pasteurized the shelf life is a couple months.

There is also almond and cashew milk...unsweetened has 25 cals a cup the macros are not much different then water....lol
that and it's $3.99/1/2 gallon

If I'm cutting down bf dairy has no place in my diet.

A good portion of the population is lactose intolerant just not necessarily to an extreame degree. It tends to cause bloat for a lot of people but they won't realize it till they drop the dairy.

Not to mention that is has a shelf life of 2-3 months. Way more pricey then regular milk though

It goes beyond the whole macro thing. Bloat is not a macro. It ties into the quality of macros. Dairy... not great quality. There are much better choices.

TX is spot on here with what he said. Sure, you can get by just fine with just a little dairy in your diet while cutting and make good progress, but if you truly want to cut down well, dairy really should be cut out. It can definitely bloat you and make your body hold onto weight. For those in prep it's really not even an option. It has to go, or you'll have a hell of a time getting conditioned. Even whey protein is usually cut out final weeks

I'm sure Dylan will be in here and give his thoughts in time, but he is very anti-dairy when trying to cut.

In the end you really should just try to keep the dairy to a minimum. I myself use no dairy other than one small 6oz serving of Greek yogurt daily. I haven't had milk in years

(PM me for a price list for Biotech Labs and 10% discount)

I love a couple glasses of milk a day, and usually have one Greek yogurt. My issue is ,it does give me heartburn. I also have no need or desire to be under 12% bf so dairy in moderation is no problem for me. Depends on goals I guess.

I love the shit out of organic fat free milk and fat free greek yogurt, but it definitely causes bloat. I cutt out diary once for 2 weeks and it mad a huge difference in my bodys appearance !!!

Ultra pasteurization destroys the nutrients much more than normal because of the ultra high heat FYI. That's why I stopped drinking it. Makes the protein less beneficial.

I knew you would say something... Lol... We've had this discussion before briefly. I don't drink milk often but this is my go to mainly because I don't have to worry about it spoiling.

I do not drink milk because it triggers me to eat some sort of cake, doughnuts, cookies or sugary cereal weird but true. But when I do it is almond or cashew once in while fairlife chocolate is good!!
