I know that many of you dread the taste of Plain Greek Yogurt (i actually enjoy it) but nonetheless, most don't.... However, it's a great way to add A LOT of extra protein to your diet and a very clean way and especially when cutting and recomping. I have a very strong way of making it something you truly look forward to on a daily basis... I will explain...

My yogurt of choice is Wallaby Organic Fat Free Plain Greek Yogurt or Siggi's... Both are definitely a bit more pricey but the ingredients and makeup of these truly set them apart... You have to go to a more specialty store like Whole Foods for these brands but trust me, they are worth it...

I take a kilogram container of greek yogurt or 36 oz. which is the very large one. I transfer the entire container into tupperware and then take a rubber spatula for mixing. I start with 3 scoops of my favorite flavored protein powder or if i have two flavors i will mix them together. I mix thoroughly... I also take 4 packets of sweet leaf sweetener... Then i take 2 fruit cups after I drain them and add along with a handful of raisins... The fruit cups are sugar free and fat free and you can find them at any grocery store... Del Monte makes a great one but honestly, the wal mart brand or store brands make the same one cheaper and sometimes with even better nutrient profiles... I mix them along with a serving of flax seed and then refrigerate... It is something I look forward to on a daily basis!

I eat Greek yogurt on a daily basis, but have never tried mixing protein with it. I have added some fruit and berries for flavor, but never protein. This sounds like a great idea that I may have to try for variety and a significant boost in protein content. Thanks for sharing brother!

I would be one of those people lol....I'll try this out for sure. Sounds really good!

There's a real unfair misconception that we all eat nothing but boiled plain chicken and steamed vegetables. This recipe (which sounds pretty freakin' good) is a perfect example of how you can stick to nutrition & have flavor/taste, too.

i absolutely agree brother... its HOW you make things etc... trust me, as you know all too well on this as well, you can make things extremely enjoyable with a fraction of a creative mind...

I get the fat free vanilla Greek yogurt. I mix it with oatmeal, almond milk, and cinnamon in a sealed jar and let it sit in the fridge over night. THE best breakfast...especially on the go!

sounds damn good and honestly, vanilla is my favorite flavor in yogurt but make sure the sugar is very low on that... most flavored yogurts have far higher sugar content and that's why i stick with and recommend plain flavor...

LMAO... i understand... another thing you may want to add in there is some of the fruit i mentioned and also its a nice way to get in plenty of flax seed and other things that are not so pleasant on their own but they taste damn good in the yogurt... i always have peaches and mangoes in mine... grapefruit is another very healthy addition...

I'm not as concerned with low sugar. I have to fight to keep my blood sugar up, so I kinda need it lol the strawberry nonfat Greek yogurt is awesome in it to vs vanilla. Throw some berries in there and it's just awesome yummy. I get grapefruit when it's in season. Otherwise it tastes like butt and they're tiny lol I can eat grapefruit plain though.

i have one grapefruit per day... its a staple... all i put on mine is a packet of sweet leaf sweetener.. sometimes i dip a bit in greek yogurt but i love it plain too... i look forward to them honestly...

I do flavored Greek yogurt myself, with vanilla being my favorite. There really isn't much sugar in a 6oz container and less than 20g of carbs total with no fat. I can handle that for a,little bit of flavor personally.

LOLL I understand... I make it abundantly clear what is mine at home but it's easy to tell because im so regimented although i always have enough for everyone to share if they really want but because im so picky, my things generally don't disappear lollll... Grapefruit is so beneficial... it regulates insulin and has a nice amount of fiber so it really is great for cutting...

Yes, that's actually a great idea. I've never tried that combination myself, but I may just have to!

I am a macros guy and use Greek Yogurt in the evenings as a treat regularly.

I combine:
1 cup of Greek Yogurt
1 cup of thawed frozen fruit
1 Tbsp raw honey
A dash of Cinnamon

This keeps my protein levels high.
If I need more fat I can add peanut or almond butter.
I can also decrease or increase the honey and fruit to hit my carbs.
