As many of you know, I have always been a huge advocate of oats in general... These have been a staple in my diet for a decade... I have them twice a day... Once in the morning and once right before bed... I always formulate new ideas on how to make them the best tasting yet the healthiest they can be... Let us start with your choice of oats... I ONLY use Bob's Red Mill for my brand... What I do is take 3/4 serving of Oat Bran and 1 serving of Wheat Bran and then go from there... I cook mine on the stove top with water and unsweetened cashew milk but I like to make it just a bit runny because as I add ingredients, it tends to thicken up a lot and I don't like it to thick or it does not digest well... Here is my newest version:
Ingredients: Bob's Red Mill oat and wheat bran... 3/4 serving oat brand and 1 serving of wheat bran with half a serving of raisins... I cook on the stove top with water and unsweetened cashew milk...
THEN i took 4 apple slices and boiled them on the stove unless they were cooked down and very mushy... I added them to the oats with 2 packets of sweet leaf and half a serving of flax seed and mix... THEN we add a decent amount of cinnamon and then i add half a scoop of cinnamon bun protein and mix them thoroughly... Last, I take half a serving of peanut butter and mix it thoroughly... Then I add one more packet of sweet leaf and then you see the finished product... The Cinnamon Apple Raisin creation from Dylan Gemelli!
