Donating blood

so i might have a very silly question but i tried to look through the forum and i didn't find it addressed anywhere.

DO you guys donate blood during cycle or wait till after cycle?

i am currently on my first cycle with test only and 4 more weeks left. but mid cycle when i got my blood work done my rbc count was high. hemoglobin and hematocrit were still in the normal range. So i am interested in donating blood. how often do you guys donate blood ? thanks

I donate every 2 months whether I'm on cycle or not. It benefits everyone involved and I get some snacks. Going in beginning of next month

Yea plenty give during cycle to keep the numbers from reaching the higher limits.

I give blood regardless of where I'm at with my cycles. As a matter of fact I donated yesterday...double red blood cells since I just started eq at 900mg per week

What were your Hematocrit/Hemoglobin at? I just donated whole blood a few weeks ago before jumping back on and my Hemoglobin was at 17.2. Going to donate double red at the end of November, but hoping it won't get too high that they won't take it.

I was at 15.3 yesterday. I'm usually around 15. Doesn't ever change much

I donate every 8 weeks (16 weeks if it's a double) so wherever that time frame falls....on cycle or off. I don't donate around my cycle. I do it when it's time

yes definitely want to donate periodically. i donate every 3 to 6 months. usually after a cycle also.

Yes, I'd say so. I'd recommend keeping up on regular donations, as it helps keep things more stable and continuously in range
