Are steroids addicting?

Hello everybody! It has been a while since I have been training hard in the gym, and I am starting to consider using steroids to give a little boost because I am noticing some stopping to my progress. But I am not sure - are steroids addicting? Do they cause one to need them physically? Thanks

they do not cause anything internally that would develop an addiction but the chances of you running one and done are quite slim... when you see the results, experience the feeling etc. then you will want to continue... there are alternatives that are far safer than steroids that give like results without the side effects... are you familiar with sarms?

While steroids are not physically not addictive, they are so psychologically because it is just too hard to give up on the good feeling you have while on cycle, and the great results you achieve together with awesome self-confidence. Therefore, people have a hard time stopping them due to psychological reasons. As Dylan said, it would be a good idea to start off gradually with something milder, and see how you like it. Therefore, SARMS are a good alterantive that will give you decent results with no side effects.

I agree with everything above. For me it seems that on trt levels I feel OK. On higher test levels I feel much better and then add in other components and the high you get from a killer workout is hard to let go and back down to trt levels or natty.

Anyone know if suboxone will make test less effective. I had an injury got hooked on pain meds and the rest is history. Getting ready to start my cycle don't know if I should taper off the subs.

Anything can become an addiction if you allow it just depends on what fuels your addiction rocket

Addicting!
Oh hell no. I been pumping em for 25 years and I ain't hooked..lol. You know bro...any habit can become addicting. It is the mental repetition. You do something for 3 months or so and it becomes part of you. When we say addiction we mean that your system has to have or you suffer. Physiological addiction is nothing like just a habit. Plus you know when you get off that you are going to gradually not feel like superman anymore.
What I do is use tricks. I beging to use creatine again, and also hgh. But as far as picturing a person sick as dog and trembling, no steroids are not addictive at all. But I can tell you some things that are addicitve..cigs, booze, caffiene etc and you could probably think of a lot more. I have heard of food addiction, gambling addiction...but not steroid addiction.
Makes me jealous of women because they don't have to get if they dont wat to!~!

Very well put and on point here

In a sense each time you shut your system down with each cycle you are creating a possible addiction due to the body not being able to produce as it did before hence trt and rec drugs do the same thing by producing excess chemicals in the brain that the brain does not produce in the amount drugs induce creates an addiction so you continue use to get that same feeling which the brain can no longer produce from being shut down so with hormones being chemicals that the body relies on to function properly when you start messing with that you are creating a physical addiction to properly function

I would not consider my use an addiction. I see it as a tool to help me achieve my goals. Do i workout and continue my daily regimen without them? Yes to me they are like a supplement. A part of the whole. when im off cycle i spend 3-5 month aas free. Do i like using them? Hell yes!! The strength, stamina, vascularity, etc is unreal. Does it sound like im rationalizing my use like an addict? Probly lmao

A lot of us come from addictive back grounds. I know I did. So, I won't say that they are physically addictive, but I will say taking AAS and training was def a replacement therapy for me.

Tru dat brother!

I think there is a definite psychological addiction to them, because of seeing what they do to your body, how they make you feel, etc.....but there is not a physical addiction whatsoever.

Shoot some people build thier life around what steroids allow them to accomplish. It's phychologicaly addicting for sure.

Absolutely. Unfortunately a lot of people live under the presumption that it's the gear that takes them to these places and let them accomplish, when it's actually the smallest part of the equation

The addictive part of roids is not something that crack addicts experience. The feeling of being "high" so to speak. The addictive part is how you perform when you're on roids which is beyond normal capacity. That is why it is being banned in all and other physical sports for that matter.
