Anandrol (oxymetholone, A50) was developed by Syntex Pharmaceuticals in the 1960s as a means of treating anemia and other muscle wasting conditions. Increasing muscle tissue was the primary design to cater to the performance enhancing athlete. Anadrol can rapidly increases lean muscle tissue and strength and also has a very fast downward curve once doses go beyond a certain point. When doses get too high it can be very difficult to hold on to enough of an appetite to feed the needed growth. Anadrol was used to help with muscle growth in patients with malnourishment as well as growth problems. in addition, it was given to osteoporosis and anemia patients. It quickly became evident that the side effects of anadrol were far too high and that many were developing liver problems and alternative treatments were found. Anadrol was used several decades later to help with HIV/AIDS syndrome as well. In time, it became evident that the side effects of anadrol are so harsh that some patients with wasting disease developed liver problems and an alternative drug was discovered as a replacement. However, a few decades later, oxymetholone resurfaced again to help with HIV/AIDS wasting syndrome

What is Anadrol?

Anadrol is a powerful oral steroid belonging to the Dihydrostestosterone (DHT) family. Anadrol is unlike any other DHT that many are familiar with (winstrol, primobolan, masteron, anavar, etc.) in the fact that it is used for mass as opposed to cutting and drying out. The change in chemical structure is done with anadrol by adding the It’s interesting how a small change to a chemical structure of a steroid can make so much difference. Realistically, the only major change to oxymetholone is done with the addition of the 2-hydroxymethylene group to its chemical structure. The outcome from this change results with anadrol being one of the most hardcore oral bulking steroids on the planet and being a DHT, this has caused an abundance of surprise.

Anadrol does not bind well to the androgen receptor as is common with most DHT related steroids. Studies have shown anadrol's binding ability to be so low that it is hard to determine the exact level. It can be closely related to that of winstrol in terms of androgen receptor affinity. Anadrol DOES NOT convert to estrogen nor is it a progestin. Anadrol has been known to cause gynecomastia rebound however it does not initially convert to estrogen.

Anadrol Side Effects

All steroids should be taken very serious and with large amounts of precaution, however, Anadrol leads the pack when it comes to potential side effects. Anadrol side effects come quickly and harshly which prevents a user from staying on it for extended periods of time. I have compiled a list of side effects for each one of you to review to understand the risks involved with anadrol use.

Bloated face

Blood pressure (hypertension)

Headaches

Lower back pumps and cramps

Liver problems (liver enzyme issues)

Gynecomastia (Bitch tits)

Acne

Understand that this is a comprehensive list but does not guarantee that other side effects cannot or will not occur with anadrol use. These are the most common and generally seen negative effects with use.

How to dose Anadrol

Anadrol is generally used in an oral form. It is not impossible to find it as an injectable but extremely rare and uncommon. Anadrol is made with 17-Alpha-Alkylated (17aa), meaning it survives the first pass once it hits the liver due to a modification at the 17th carbon position. Simply put, it is absorbed very strong and there is no worry of loss of product.

The most common dose of anadrol is 50 mg per day. Advanced users go with 100 mg per day but I would urge strong caution before attempting this type of dosing. Anadrol is most commonly used on bulking cycles as a kickstart.

Women can use anadrol although it is not the most highly recommended. A dose of 10 mg per day is generally used for women.

The half-life contained by anadrol is between 8-9 hours so split dosing throughout the day is the best method of intake. Splitting the doses between morning and evening has shown to provide the strongest results.
