    Everyone is different, but the general consensus is to pin twice a week like you said for more consistent blood levels. Some pin once and get away with it, but I've heard of inconsistent mood patterns from some people that try pinning once a week. But like I said, its unique to each individual.

    I'm currently preparing for a show and imo a GOOD coach is crucial. Having someone who wants you to win just as badly as you want yourself to win makes this process more enjoyable. Just remember, communication is key!! If you slip up in diet, training, whatever... make sure to tell your coach!
