Overtraining?

Hey guys just wanted to know your thoughts on this topic as it is a confusing topic for me and others I'm sure
Overtraining and recovery for both natural lifters and aas

Overtraining is definitely real. It's completely individual to each person. What will cause one person to overtrain may not even come close to another. I did high volume training for years and through progression I continually added volume and eventually found my breaking point. That made me reevaluate my training years ago and through trial and error, I now know I respond best to low volume, high intensity, high frequency. It's a shitty feeling you get when you overtrain but if you've never experienced it then don't be afraid to push yourself to that point. In my opinion, you should experiment with training to find out what your body best responds to. If you go through your workouts always worried about overtraining, you might actually end up undertraining. If you happen to push yourself into overtraining, good, use it as a learning experience and you'll get to know your body better. Regardless of natural or aas, the limit will be different for everyone. The right balance to optimize training and recovery is something you gotta find for yourself bud. Just another part of the process.

heres the thing man. overtraining, is is real? it can be. undertraining is real too. BUT i would not think of it as a set in stone number. if i train Biceps 2 days in a row it will hinder my gains. or if i do 20 sets of Biceps as opposed to 12 sets it will hinder my gains. It is not like that at all. you saw my article on overtraining, and the people who trained bodyparts everyday had some of the best bodyparts as they matured into BBing. your body will adapt to what you do. Would i train Biceps everyday of every week for the whole year? Of course not. but if you Overtrain them, yes really OVERTRAIN them and then allow 3-4 days or a week off, it will change your body. your body will adapt that is how it is created/programmed to be. it is a biological machine more complex then we all truly understand at this point. and if muscle growth is dependent on blood flow, energy, and expansion then overtraining will increase the capabilities of that muscle and allow for faster expansion and greater workloads. so if you train your chest every day for a week, you will probably get burned out on chest and weaker, maybe get flatter. BUT i guarantee if you take a week off and then come back, see what happens then.

i remember when i was younger training forearms twice a week on top of doing back and biceps, etc. my forearms were by definition getting overtrained because i wasnt allowing any recovery time in between training sessions. but guess what, my forearms BLEW THE HECK UP. even doing something as simple as 100 pushups a day before your workouts can make a big difference in your chest, tris, and delts. think of the people in Prison man, all they do is pushups and pull ups all day and get straight JACKED. its because your body ADAPTS to your workload. if you stop working out your muscles will shrink because they are not necessary anymore. can you get injured overtraining? yes, but you can get injured undertraining too lol, there is really no difference. you can have joint problems, muscle tears, etc. doing low rep, high rep, heavy weight, low weight, etc. Who knows what will happen when you step into the gym.

i think the main point is to try different things and switch up your workouts frequently. high reps high volume is good. I have also done HEAVY weights high volume, and a mixture of heavy weights low reps with moderate weight drop sets, etc. there is so much you can do i dont think 1 specific thing will be BEST. it may be best for you NOW but when you plateau or get bored, switch it up, and keep the gains coming. All i can say is from peoples EXPERIENCES high volume and high frequency is the key to LARGE muscles (not necessarily stronger but BIGGER). this has been proven through peoples LIVES, not studies or trails in a lab. overtraining is real yes, but real overtraining is CNS overload, basically smashing your whole body into the ground with no rest. this "overtraining" is more like nucleus overload or muscle targeted overload and it involved ample rest/recovery periods.

Over training for me will not be the same for you.
Pick a workout plan and adequate calorie count work it until you feel burned out and then back off on intensity and pyramid up from 60% max to about 90% of max intensity and volume training
That is how i do it. But again it took me a long time to get to where I know what is over trained for me.

I am 110% ct fletcher minded.
Over training to me is a mythical creature like a fucking unicorn.

I havnt over trained yet personally. I don't think it exists. I don't do this to just add muscle. I train to be a fucking warrior and to be a fucking beast. I don't leave unless I give it my all and I can not do anymore.

CT is my hero bro. Not afraid to admit it lol.

He is an extreamly wise dude. Honestly all in want is to train with ct for a week.

That's honestly like the coolest thing I could ask for.

I've trained with a lot of dudes in ifbb and guys like Mike Rashid and all but ct is the one person I never got a chance to meet or train with. Man that would be so legit!

I couldn't agree with you more man. I can't stand watching the guy. He is too over the top and walks around like a pompous, arrogant, ghetto douchebag. Too much yelling and screaming and shit. It's kinda uncalled for.

You can be comlete.y focused, in the zone, and 100% motivated without acting like an asshat lol

It bothered me that he's training mostly kids and he uses language that I wouldn't use around my kids. I'm no angel, but to me it's just a turn off.

I think looking in a ct as someone who doesn't know much about him could definitly be put off.

I've seen ct' movie I've seen every vid and I know his whole story from what he has put out there. He's really an amazing dude. And I think if people invested time in his new vids, especially the new ones..people would realy really respect him

His methods end in the gym pretty much. He's not actually like that in person. I've heard the same from some people who know him on a personal level. He's actually a very nice guy and a very inspirational person.

His methods stem from military and his abused childhood. His dad beat his ass all the time.

He also almost died a few times. And when he over came that he developed the life is my bitch and I'm a warrior mentality.

The dude went through hell and back. He really lives to help others. I think k if you just see a vid here and there it's a poor representation.
